Overview
CivicScience improves data-driven advertising across the open Web through the use of responsibly sourced, high-quality audience segments, without dependence on third-party cookies.
We are seeking a dynamic Sales Account Manager to join our Advertising team and report to our Director, Client Engagement.

This role focuses on nurturing client relationships, driving upsell opportunities, and delivering compelling performance decks that weave data-driven insights, campaign findings, and actionable recommendations into a cohesive story. The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker with a knack for storytelling, strong client-facing skills, and a passion for leveraging ad tech to achieve business goals.


Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy
    • Partner with the ad sales team to strategize and create customized proposals and pitches that inspire potential clients
    • Understand client industries, challenges, and goals to develop tailored sales strategies that highlight the game-changing value of our ad tech solutions
    • Track proposal progress and outcomes using insights to fuel even stronger future sales strategies
    • Stay ahead of the curve on ad tech trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics to keep our sales approaches cutting-edge
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Act as key point of contact for assigned client accounts, building trust and fostering long-term partnerships with brands, agencies, and other stakeholders
    • Conduct regular client check-ins and prepare quarterly business reviews, presenting performance insights and recommendations to optimize campaigns throughout a campaign's lifecycle
    • Identify client needs and translate them into tailored advertising solutions that align with their objectives
    • Address client concerns promptly, ensuring high satisfaction and retention
  • Upselling and Revenue Growth
    • Proactively identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts to drive revenue growth
    • Collaborate with Director of Client Engagement to develop account strategies that maximize client investment and achieve revenue targets
  • Performance Analysis & Storytelling
    • Create compelling, data-driven decks that highlight campaign performance, key insights, and actionable findings, tailored to each client's goals
    • Analyze campaign data to uncover trends, measure success against KPIs, and provide recommendations for optimization
    • Leverage marketing research, brand lift studies, and ad campaign measurement to enhance insights and deliver value to clients
  • Collaboration & Support
    • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless campaign execution and client satisfaction
    • Provide feedback to internal teams on client needs and market trends to inform product development and strategy
    • Assist in developing templated materials, such as case studies, to scale solutions across the team
Qualifications & Experience
  • 6+ years in account management within the ad tech industry, including a proven track record of managing and growing client accounts
  • Consultative approach to client management with a focus on solving challenges and driving value
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with experience crafting compelling narratives through performance decks
  • Background in marketing research, brand lift studies, or ad campaign measurement, a plus
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace products, Hubspot, Salesforce, and other ad tech

This is a remote (work from home) role with flexibility, autonomy, and a preference for candidates in the Eastern Time Zone.
