Position: Outside Sales Manager - Manufacturing Type: Full-Time – Remote (90%) Location: Genoa, IL
Base salary: Up to $90K + commissions
Our client in Genoa, IL is seeking an Outside Sales Manager to represent their machining capabilities and cultivate new business opportunities. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with potential customers, identify their needs, and offer tailored machining, powder coating, or assembled product solutions to meet the customer's needs.
Responsibilities:
-Develop and maintain a strong understanding of thier capabilities, services, and product offerings. -Prospect and identify potential customers within the target market to generate new business leads. - Conduct market research to identify trends, competition, and customer needs to adapt sales strategies accordingly. - Build and nurture relationships with existing and prospective clients through regular communication and client visits. - Present and demonstrate machining capabilities to clients, effectively showcasing the value and benefits of working with the company. - Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations to potential customers. - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries and orders. - Achieve or exceed sales targets and goals set by the company. - Record sales activities, customer interactions, and market trends accurately.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in outside sales preferably in the manufacturing or machining industry.
- Knowledge of machining processes and understanding of CNC capabilities.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to non-technical customers.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented individual with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field-based sales role.
