This is your chance to be part of an in-house Commercial Services team that propels Hilton's sales, revenue management, call center, and analytics functions! As a Group Sales Manager you will support these areas which are at the core of Hilton's "commercial engine" and are important to Hilton's ability to achieve profitable growth. On the Hilton Barbados Resort team reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing.

How You Will Make An Impact

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What Your Day-to-day Will Be Like

  • Focus sales on the Corporate and Association Incentive Group markets
  • Solicit new accounts while maintaining existing relationships with current accounts striving to maximize revenue and promote relationships through negotiation of guest room and meeting space rentals and prices and food and beverage services
  • Travel and engage in sales activities outside of the hotel to meet with and entertain customers and prospective customers, participate in tradeshows, and industry and community events
  • Write proposals and contracts to advise prospective groups for meeting space and/or banquet date, space, and rate availability for group accommodations. Develop and quote prices

How You Will Collaborate With Others

  • Collaborate with external partners including the tourist board while working with the on-property Commercial Team
  • Conduct site inspections and property tours with potential customers, visiting guest rooms, meeting space and banquet facilities, and other hotel facilities
  • Attend weekly sales departmental meetings and other scheduled meetings to support business operations, e.g., tentative review, lost business review, group pick up, etc.

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You Have These Minimum Qualifications

  • Seven (7) years of experience in the hospitality industry
  • Five (5) years of work experience in hotel sales
  • Three (3) years of experience selling for the Meeting and Incentive market
  • Travel up to 50%

It Would Be Useful If You Have

  • Fluent in written and verbal communication in Spanish
  • Degree in Hotel Management or Business Administration
  • Associate's Degree/College Diploma in Business or Communications
