đź’Ľ Qualifications And Experience
University degree; Bachelor’s or Master's degree in life science, marketing, management, or a business-related field
Excellent knowledge of the Healthcare industry and CRO business particularly
At least five (5) years of Business Development experience in the life science industry, preferably within CRO
Excellent communication skills and team leadership capabilities consistent with influencing and driving multiple stakeholders toward meeting customers’ and Optimapharm’s needs
Excellent organizational, planning and multitasking skills, as well as a predisposition to entrepreneurship, results and customer focus
With a hunting mindset, the ability to work independently and efficiently
Team collaboration skills: able to work effectively and collaboratively with other department members to accomplish collective goals, bringing positive and supportive efforts to collective efforts
Problem-solving abilities
Excellent oral and written skills in English; another language(s) as appropriate for the location and/or territory
Ability and willingness to travel internationally and domestic (50-70% of the time)
Intermediate to complex level of technology aptitude; knowledge of Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Meet annual sales goals and objectives
Business development strategy and client retention in an allocated sales territory
Coordination of all activities delegated to BD Department
Timely and efficient reporting
Essential Job Duties
Account Strategist
Initiate, coordinate, develop and implement strategic plans, sales strategies and annual forecasts within a specified territory or accounts.
Coordinate and supervise all activities aiming to develop and retain clients, including prospecting, cold calling, in-person sales calls
Prepares regular account contact schedule based on strategy
Sales Leadership
To achieve and maintain positive and effective client relationships
Collaborating in the development and presentation of powerful capabilities and RFIs
Creating business opportunities through industry relationships and networks
Working with operational colleagues to proactively resolve sponsor issues
Represent and advocate Business Development at various company meetings
Proposal Leadership
Collaboration and coordination with other departments in the analysis and development of the strategy developed in proposals
Designing and identifying the most effective presentation team and leading Optimapharm Bids defense with clients
Negotiate contracts with the customers
Marketing activities
Represent Optimapharm at industry conferences and therapeutic meetings
Obtain competitive information such as the strengths/weaknesses of competitive CROs
Communicate industry events and trends to management
BD Reporting activities
Familiarity with Territory Planning, Account Plans and reporting tool
Tracking, managing and reporting sales activities
