About the role

LexisNexis Canada is seeking to hire a Content & Licensing Specialist that will report the Senior Director, Strategy & Marketing. Identifies, investigates, analyzes and negotiates licensing opportunities to grant or receive permission to use intellectual property rights, including trademarks, patents or technology

Responsibilities:

Performing corporate development and licensing in a combined role
Identifying, investigating, evaluating and negotiate acquisitions divestitures, licensing opportunities and strategic business alliances
Conducting appropriate financial due diligence to ensure the reliability of the information provided by third parties
Developing proposals for new business and licensing opportunities in both new and existing markets
Analyzing and comparing alternative opportunities for entering new markets and adopting new technologies
Contributing thought leadership and innovation that influences change and advancement within a strategic area

Requirements:

Be able to impact business direction through the development of innovative solutions or products
Use game-changing methods and think beyond existing solutions to solve problems
Be influential in addressing strategy for internal or external business, vendor and or regulatory issues
Show experience in identifying and solving complex problems that impact the management and direction of the business
Display experience leading highly visible multidisciplinary project teams or initiatives
