Job description

This is a remote position.

Virtual Rockstar is seeking a full-time Medical Biller to handle the full billing cycle and accounts receivable management. This is a remote position ideal for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and experienced in medical billing—particularly in physical therapy.

Responsibilities:

Submit insurance claims accurately and on time
Track the status of pending claims
Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and file appeals as needed
Post insurance and patient payments to accounts
Resolve billing discrepancies and ensure proper account adjustments
Communicate with patients to assist with insurance and billing questions
Maintain compliance with medical billing and coding regulations
Generate and share billing and AR reports with management

Requirements

2+ years of experience in medical billing (physical therapy experience a plus)
Familiarity with Prompt EMR is highly preferred
Strong understanding of insurance processes and AR workflows
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
Clear written and verbal communication
Able to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment
