We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Analyst to take a lead role in financial reporting, business planning, and process improvement initiatives. This role is integral to ensuring accurate financial operations and providing insightful analysis to support key business decisions. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the month-end reporting process, including in-depth variance analysis and distribution of management reports.
  • Oversee and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and business planning cycles.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support financial decision-making.
  • Drive process and systems improvement projects with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and ensure integrity of financial records.
  • Prepare and manage statutory obligations including BAS, IAS, Superannuation, TPAR, and FBT.
  • Oversee payroll, WorkCover, and payroll tax compliance.
  • Map financial and operational processes to streamline workflows.
  • Liaise with clients to manage relationships and resolve queries.
  • Lead workflow management initiatives to optimize team performance.


Requirements
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong understanding of AP/AR, payroll, and compliance processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in business partnering and stakeholder engagement.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with process improvement or system implementation projects
  • Familiarity with Australian tax compliance requirements (e.g., BAS, IAS, FBT).
  • Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
