This role can be done from home

Building the world’s leading sound experience starts with the experience we provide for our people. That’s why we’ve been distributed from the start: initially between offices in Boston & Santa Barbara, and now with additional offices around the globe. This role can be done from any of our offices across the United States or remotely from home. It’s about impact, not location.

Sonos is looking for an Account Manager to onboard and support new commercial install sales opportunities, support commercial dealers with a direct relationship with Sonos, and manage relationships with local commercial distribution partners and rep firms. This role will be critically important in our desire to become the basis of design in light commercial spaces with our direct and indirect dealers.   

What You’ll Do

  • Relationship Management - Build and develop dealer relationships to exceed company growth goals. The Account Manager is responsible for creating and organizing an effective schedule of dealer meetings to help grow our direct commercial dealers. As an Account Manager, you will have activity expectations (meetings, phone calls, emails, etc) to meet that drive growth from your direct accounts.

  • Opportunity Management - Manage commercial opportunities that are being pursued by your commercial direct dealers in Salesforce to ensure accurate forecasting and inventory support.  This includes supporting dealers as they seek to close the sale, providing resources and technical information, and generally ensuring that Sonos opportunities have favorable outcomes for the dealer and Sonos.

  • Indirect Dealer Support - Support the National Distribution Manager and commercial distribution strategy by visiting local branches, training technical and sales teams, and attending events that position Sonos as a preferred solution in the light commercial space. 

  • Resource Management - Create a game plan that allows you to use your time effectively to ensure you are impacting the dealers with the most potential. The Account Manager reports on what is working and what needs improvement on a monthly and quarterly basis.

  • Regional Marketing - Use smart business tools to allocate market development funds to key dealers that can drive incremental growth.

  • Forecast Guidance - Provide channel insights and contribute to the sell-through forecast process by developing an intimate understanding of your partner's business. Account Managers provide real-time feedback back to channel leads to help ensure an accurate plan for each quarter.

What You’ll Need

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to travel both on the road and in the air to meet with customers every month, for 8-10 days/nights.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 

  • 5+ years of customer facing Sales or Marketing experience

  • 2+ years of sales or design experience in the commercial audio video space

At Sonos we consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, which may lead  individual compensation to vary depending on job related qualifications, skills, and experience.  All full time employees are eligible for merit increases, discretionary bonuses, and equity.  Our job postings may span more than one career level and the base pay range may be modified in the future based on changing market conditions. The starting base pay for this role for all US candidates is between:

$81,000 and $101,000

Please note that compensation details listed in US job postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
