GENERAL JOB SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a Group Account Director to support a large, multi-franchise retainer as we continue to grow by leaps and bounds. This role supports three social-first retainers, so social campaign experience is significant in this role.

Our Account team supports balancing the client needs with our team’s ambition to push the envelope strategically and creatively in ways that disrupt, surprise, and delight our target audiences. You will create a path to executing great work that moves our client’s business and delivers on our ambitious creative goals.

You will be a strategic client partner leading client engagements at the highest level. As an internal team leader, you will lead and orchestrate a cross-functional team to take on diverse client projects, including integrated campaigns, brand-level communications, social media campaigns, influencer marketing, experiential activations, new business pitches, and more. You love diving into clients’ businesses, understanding their marketing challenges, and proposing solutions. You love partnering with clients and creative teams to make cool stuff and drive bottom-line results. You’re a self-starter who doesn’t need to be told how to take on tasks. You don’t see obstacles; you see opportunities.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Client & Account Leadership

  • Monitor and evaluate the competitive landscape to provide senior-level strategic insights. Engage with clients at all levels and continue ongoing relationship development. Identify opportunities for account growth. Oversee and manage client relationships for three social-first retainers.
  • Be a trusted partner of senior clients and decision makers; build relationships beyond our day-to-day clients and into the C-suite of a client’s organization
  • Possess a deep understanding of the client's business, objectives, and how our work will drive their success
  • Drive annual fee negotiations and be responsible for developing and managing the agency's scope of work
  • Demonstrate command over the entire business from a macro-business point of view to the details of key projects
  • Acts as a go-to person for cross-functional team(s), collaborates effectively with Strategic Planning, Creative, etc.
  • Own the account narrative internally, orchestrating agency-management involvement to drive the agency agenda and deepen the relationship 
  • Strategically and assertively manage the financial health of accounts, ensuring agency profitability

Business Development

  • Foster positive internal relationships, ensuring all parties understand deliverables and the client's needs
  • Actively seek opportunities to contribute to the agency culture above and beyond current assignments and responsibilities
  • Plot out organic growth with a clear strategy and plan 
  • Participate in new business development

Team Leadership

  • Lead client and agency team to deliver best-in-class creative work, and responsible for quality of output and thinking on the account
  • Maintain total account oversight by putting the right team in place across client businesses and understand when to provide structure and when ideas need freedom to flourish
  • Be a trusted leader of the agency team across all disciplines and the operational leader ultimately accountable for client- and agency-business success
  • Set vision for the account in line with the agency's goals and outline clear, creative, and business growth expectations for the agency team

  • 10+ years of experience at an integrated marketing agency
  • Experience in leading and managing clients through social-first retainers
  • Love of video games is helpful
  • Enjoy leading a strong team of account professionals
  • Demonstrated track record of positive client and team leadership
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Please note that a job offer for this position will be determined based on many factors, including experience, unique skill set, other qualifications, location, job performance (current employees), and various business and budgetary considerations.

Annual base pay range for this position is below.
$175,000$200,000 USD
