Clover Health’s People Operations team is the strategic force behind our human capital management. We attract and recruit top talent, manage employee lifecycle processes, and foster career development and continuous learning. We’re proud of our data-driven approach to talent engagement and feel privileged to support our global workforce.

The Senior HR Strategic Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. This position requires a results-oriented and data-driven leader with exceptional communication skills. HRBPs design and implement People strategies that align with Clover’s mission, values, and long-term objectives. As a Senior HRBP, you will formulate partnerships across Clover Health to deliver value-added services to management and employees that reflect the organization's business objectives.

Technology-Focused HRBP Experience

We are specifically looking for a Senior HRBP with experience supporting a technology organization, particularly an internationally distributed workforce. This includes supporting tech-focused roles such as engineers, product, data scientists, and other technical professionals in a fast-paced, remote-first environment. You should have a strong understanding of the unique talent needs, career development pathways, and operational challenges within a tech organization. Experience navigating global workforce complexities, including regional labor laws, time zone considerations, and remote work best practices, is a significant advantage. The ideal candidate is experienced in immigration including familiarity with various visa categories, compliance requirements, and the process of sponsoring foreign workers.

As a Strategic HRBP, you will:

  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to understand business goals and objectives and develop HR strategies that support organizational growth and success.
  • Partner with leaders in the technology organization to design organizational structures, job roles, and talent management processes to drive organizational strategy.
  • Analyze HR data to identify insights and convert them into recommendations that drive business decisions, particularly for our tech workforce.
  • Advise on global workforce strategy to ensure seamless collaboration across different time zones and regions.
  • Partner with People Operations teams to implement key HR initiatives, including compensation planning, performance management, employee engagement, DEI initiatives, and learning & development—tailoring them to the needs of our tech employees.
  • Develop project plans for transformational initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities and compliance with local and international employment laws.
  • Coach technology leaders on people management best practices, performance management, and employee development.
  • Drive change management efforts, ensuring smooth transitions when implementing organizational updates, process improvements, or policy changes.

Success in this role looks like:

  • Within 90 days, you'll have a strong understanding of our business processes, goals, initiatives, and people-related objectives within your assigned organization, particularly in supporting our technology teams.
  • By 6 months, you'll be translating business needs into actionable HR initiatives, leveraging data and AI-driven insights to improve talent management, workforce planning, and employee experience across our tech workforce.
  • Long-term success will be demonstrated through strategic decision-making, leading people-focused projects with minimal guidance, and driving workforce efficiency in a global, remote-first setting.

You should get in touch if:

  • You have a 5+ years of HRBP experience, with at least 2 years supporting a technology organization or technical workforce.
  • You have experience working with globally distributed teams, including knowledge of country-specific labor laws and best practices for supporting remote teams across multiple time zones.
  • You have exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on employee experience.
  • You are comfortable navigating complex HR challenges in a scaling, remote-first, multi-state, and multi-country organization.
  • You have experience advising technical leaders (e.g., Engineering, Data Science, Product Management) on performance management, talent development, and engagement strategies.
  • You have strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret HR data and make recommendations to drive business outcomes.
