Location:  US- Remote

The Role

The Visual Merchandising Manager plays a critical leadership role in enhancing the customer experience and driving sales across all North American HOKA stores. Reporting to the Sr. Director of HOKA, North America Retail, and collaborating closely with the Global Visual Merchandising team, this role ensures the consistency and excellence of visual execution, elevating the brand's appeal through coaching, training, and developing store teams.

The Visual Merchandising Manager partners with store teams to optimize top-line financial performance and KPIs while addressing unique challenges related to store size, type, volume, spatial constraints, and inventory levels.

In addition to overseeing store-level success, the Visual Merchandising Manager serves as the ambassador for global brand messaging, concepts, and initiatives. This role involves regular travel to provide hands-on support to stores and contribute to successful new store openings.

Your Impact

· Enhance Visual Execution: Lead the consistency and quality of visual displays across North American stores, ensuring a positive customer experience that drives sales growth.

· Create Engaging Visual Displays: Adapt global assets for the North American market, aligning with budget constraints to optimize window displays, hero moments, and interior setups. Partner with store teams to identify opportunities for improvement, and collaborate with the Global Visual team to manage creative briefs, layout plans, and product placement.

· Ensure Compliance: Oversee the implementation of merchandising standards, ensuring displays meet Deckers’ guidelines. Conduct regular store visits to monitor visual displays and provide constructive feedback to store teams.

· Support Store Management: Coach and train store staff on visual standards, display maintenance, and product launches, ensuring consistent visual execution across the region.

· Resolve Store-Specific Challenges: Work with store teams to identify and solve unique merchandising challenges, customizing displays based on store-specific needs.

· Drive Regional Initiatives: Provide visual merchandising support for new store openings, events, special projects, and pop-ups. Coordinate floor moves and special projects in partnership with cross-functional teams.

· Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep informed of the latest market trends and best practices in visual merchandising, providing valuable feedback to both the Global Visual team and North America Operations team.

· Build Collaborative Relationships: Foster strong relationships with internal teams, including Global Visual Merchandising, Retail Operations, Field Leadership, Merchandising, and Brand Marketing to achieve business goals.

· Performance Analysis: Regularly evaluate the impact of visual merchandising efforts on KPIs and financial outcomes.

· Creative Execution: Play an integral role in the creative execution of new store openings, remodels, relocations, and pop-up concepts.

· Adaptability – Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing retail environment while maintaining a high standard of quality and consistency.

· Cross-Functional Collaboration – Experience working with various internal teams (e.g., Global Visual Merchandising, Retail Operations, Marketing) to ensure a cohesive brand presentation.

· Attention to Detail – Strong focus on ensuring every visual detail aligns with the brand and creates a seamless shopping experience for the customer.

We’d love to hear from people with

· 5-7 years of proven experience in visual merchandising, preferably in the retail or fashion industry, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing teams or projects.

· Experience working with global or regional brands, and the ability to adapt and implement global visual strategies within a specific market.

· Experience with new store openings, pop-up stores, and special events involving hands-on merchandising and collaboration across functions.

· Strong background in in-store execution and management, with an understanding of how visual displays influence customer behavior and sales.

· Demonstrated success in managing and driving results for large-scale visual merchandising projects.

$105,000 - $115,000

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
