Finance Lead

Street Diligence is a high-growth FinTech start-up with an innovative product offering and ambitious expansion plans. Our clients include leading financial institutions that use our platform to analyze and negotiate advantageous terms in legal and financial contracts.  We break down key terms, identify what’s “market” and “off-market” and flags risks embedded in contract terms.  Our platform also provides unique visuals, benchmarking and comparison to place negotiations and contracts in context.  Founded in 2012, Street Diligence is headquartered in New York. 

THE ROLE

Street Diligence is looking for a Finance Leader to join our team. This role will be a fully remote role, and will work with the CEO to prepare and automate various financial reports. This role will post and ensure proper classifications for all accounting transactions such as:

• Financial modeling, forecasting and strategy

• Oversee accounts payable

• Accounts Receivable Invoices

• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings

• Oversee reconciliation of balance sheet accounts

• Accrued Expenses + Prepaid Exepenses

• Oversee cash management + incentives

• Accrued Commissions

• Oversee employee expenses and reimbursements

• Oversee monthly sales tax returns with appropriate states

• Publish accounting financial statements

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE

• Work experience as an Accountant

• Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks

• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables

• Experience with general ledger functions and monthly closing process

• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills

• BS in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Additional certification (CPA) is a plus
