up to 5500 USD

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (U.S. business hours preferred; open to all time zones)

Position Overview:

We're hiring a Finance & Accounting Automation Specialist to lead the design, maintenance, and optimization of a growing library of low-code automations. In this cross-functional role, you'll work closely with leadership and client-facing teams to streamline data flows -- especially into QuickBooks Online -- reduce manual work, and improve reporting systems that drive visibility and efficiency across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, improve, and troubleshoot 30+ existing automation workflows.
  • Integrate APIs across cloud accounting tools like QuickBooks Online (QBO), Keeper, Karbon, and Gusto.
  • Design and build new automations using platforms such as Zapier and Make.
  • Identify automation opportunities across finance, operations, marketing, and internal systems.
  • Support internal reporting tools such as real-time margin dashboards and budget-to-actual reports.
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve internal databases and dashboards (e.g., BigQuery).
  • Document workflows and processes for cross-team visibility and onboarding.


Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with automation platforms (Zapier, Make, or similar).
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Online (QBO), ideally from a finance, ops, or automation perspective.
  • Strong skills in Excel, VBA, PowerQuery, and Google Sheets.
  • Experience working with REST APIs and scripting languages (SQL, JavaScript, Python, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting workflows.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and excited about building scalable systems.
  • Strong communicator, capable of working cross-functionally and translating technical workflows into actionable insights.


Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with tools like Karbon, Keeper, Gusto, or TransactionPro.
  • Prior work in accounting, finance operations, or consulting.
  • Familiarity with BI dashboards or data visualization tools.
  • Experience working independently in remote, cross-functional teams
