This role is a fantastic, Assistant Accountant position ideal for someone who loves transactional processing (accounts receivable) yet also enjoys accounting and has a good balance across both. This role sits in a small finance team and therefore, you’d need to be comfortable doing a bit of everything – helping out wherever is required to support the team. The role will see you performing tasks such as:
Raising invoices
Taking the appropriate action to collect overdue invoices or escalate when needed
Performing daily bank reconciliations
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
GST returns
Posting journals
Back up support for accounts payable processing and other ad-hoc Financial Administration tasks as required.
About You:
Skills
To be suitable for this role, you will be an experienced Assistant Accountant who is happy to jump into the role and make it your own. You will be comfortable managing the accounts receivable function, be a team player and have a can-do attitude. Beyond this, you will ideally have some of the following skills:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
High attention to detail and a continuous improvement attitude.
Proficient knowledge of Excel (formulas, pivot tables & vlookups)
Collaborative and an active team member!
