Job description

MEDVA is seeking a highly motivated Veterinary Virtual Assistant to support the operations of a busy veterinary clinic. As a Virtual Assistant, you will work closely with veterinarians and other clinic staff to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the clinic. Responsibilities
  • Answer phone calls and emails from veterinary clinics and animal hospitals
  • Schedule appointments and follow up on appointments
  • Update patient records
  • Ensure that all relevant documentation is filed correctly
  • Handle billing inquiries and resolve customer complaints
  • Provide outstanding customer service to clients
  • Manage the schedules of veterinarians and other clinic staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months experience in a veterinary clinic, animal hospital, Veterinary Virtual Assistant or equivalent role is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science or a related field is highly preferred but not required
  • Understanding veterinary terminology and procedures is a must
  • Proficient in using veterinary software
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Comfortable working remotely and independently
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if required.
