Job description

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Finance, this high-impact individual contributor role will support Sales and Marketing leadership, partnering closely with the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), and their leadership teams. The role will be instrumental in driving revenue growth, optimizing go-to-market (GTM) investments, and enhancing financial visibility through robust financial modeling, KPI tracking, and ROI analyses.

The Role

  • Business Partnership: Collaborate with Sales and Marketing leadership to develop financial insights, budget plans, and long-term forecasts that optimize GTM strategy.

  • GTM KPI Framework & ROI Analysis: Assist with the design, implement, and track a Sales and Marketing KPI framework, including digital funnel conversion, CAC, LTV, pipeline efficiency, and paid media ROI.

  • Driver-Based Financial Modeling: Enhance driver-based GTM financial models, aligning with RevOps and BI teams to improve forecasting accuracy and operational decision-making.

  • Marketing & Sales Investment Optimization: Evaluate the financial impact of marketing campaigns, paid media spend, and sales programs, ensuring efficient allocation of growth investments.

  • Revenue & Pipeline Performance Analysis: Assess pipeline conversion metrics, sales velocity, and overall revenue performance. Partner with data and support teams to providing timely actionable insights.

  • Strategic Initiatives & Pricing: Support pricing strategies, customer segmentation analysis, and growth initiatives in marketplace and partner distribution channels.

  • Financial Reporting & Dashboards: Support the development of operational reporting and present performance dashboards to Sales, Marketing, and Finance leadership, highlighting key trends and risks.

  • Process & System Enhancements: Partner with RevOps and BI teams to improve data accuracy, reporting automation, and financial planning tools.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA is a plus.

  • 5+ years of experience in a revenue of GTM finance with a high growth SaaS company (experience with marketplace business is a plus)

  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting skills, with experience in driver-based models and KPI frameworks.

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial planning software (experience with Planful a plus).

  • Strong knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to Sales and Marketing performance and their relation to outcomes.

  • Deep understanding of digital marketing analytics and paid media ROI modeling (e.g., CAC, ROAS, LTV analysis).

  • Proven ability to partner with Sales, Marketing, operations and data teams to align financial planning with operational strategy.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of distilling complex financial insights into actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-starter with high intellectual curiosity, able to navigate ambiguity and drive initiatives forward.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Marketing Automation tools.

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
