Job Title: Remote Facility Operations Manager (100% Work From Home)


Location: Remote from Latin America


Position Type: Full-time


Salary: $2,000 USD/month


Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm CST

Job Overview:


The Remote Facility Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management, growth, and optimization of our self-storage & industrial facilities, ensuring a high standard of customer service, operational efficiency, and profitability. This role involves overseeing a team of on-site managers, coordinating with local service providers, collaborating with various departments, and utilizing technology to monitor and improve operations from a remote setting.


Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of self-storage facilities, including monitoring inventory, occupancy rates, and maintenance schedules.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, train, and manage a team of on-site facility managers and provide regular performance feedback.
  • CAPEX Project Oversight: Manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, including planning and execution of facility upgrades and repairs. Work with vendors, contractors, and facility supervisors to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
  • Maintenance Management: Oversee regular maintenance schedules for all facilities, ensuring that all systems, equipment, and structures are well-maintained. Address any maintenance issues promptly to minimize downtime or customer impact.
  • Marketing Project Oversight: Coordinate with the Marketing department to ensure local on-site facility managers successfully execute local marketing initiatives
  • Customer Service Excellence: Ensure a high standard of customer satisfaction by addressing issues, responding to customer inquiries, and monitoring customer feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and implement operational processes and procedures to streamline activities and improve efficiency. Identify areas for automation and system improvements.
  • Technology Integration: Leverage property management software, online platforms, and customer service tools to manage and track operations remotely. Maintain up-to date records for all facilities.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all facilities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards and insurance requirements.
  • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any operational or customer-related challenges in a timely and efficient manner.


Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies: :

  • Ideally 3-4 years of experience in facility management or operations (preferably in self-storage), with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in remote team management and multi-location oversight.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage remote teams effectively.
  • Proficiency in property management software and remote collaboration tools.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • High level of organizational and time-management skills.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and operational costs and ability to negotiate with local vendors.
  • Ability to adapt and innovate in a fast-paced, evolving industry.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Customer-focused, with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Tech-savvy, with a keen interest in leveraging technology for efficiency.
