Responsibilities / Position overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to oversee the global accounts payable function for all entities. Supported by a team of AP Analysts, this role is responsible for ensuring that Lumanity’s financial records accurately reflect commitments and spend, as well as ensuring that controls are maintained such that payments are only made to vendors once appropriate approvals have been received.

 

The AP Manager will work closely with other finance team members to ensure cash outflows are managed and vendors are paid in a timely manner.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design, improve & implement AP policies and procedures.
  • Train, develop and supervise the AP team lead to ensure deadlines and agreed metrics are met.
  • Maintain and improve upon control environment, ensuring controls compliance. Control owner for all AP controls.
  • Initiate payment runs for all entities, adjusting payment runs following Leadership input.
  • Upon authorization by Leadership, process vendor payments with banks
  • Provide support to the team on high level query and issue resolution.
  • Provide cash outflow projections for vendor payments.
  • Maintain the AP subledger, including month end close processes and accruals
  • Work with other teams to ensure vendor set-up is correct and design processes to identify vendor set-up deficiencies.
  • Ensure business is fulfilling their obligations with regards to vendor invoice approvals
  • Assist with internal audit, external audit, and internal control queries and process implementation as needed.
  • Integral role in development, testing, and implementation of improvements on the processes that impact AP, ensuring adequate controls are in place to meet audit and SOX requirements, efficiency is achieved, productivity is increased, and quality is not compromised.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading and managing Accounts Receivable teams.
  • Service based industry experience required
  • AI Tool implementation tool experience required
  • Shared service centralization implementation experience preferred
  • Multi-country, multi-currency experience essential
  • Technology industry and/or fast growth industry experience
  • NetSuite experience required
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to manipulate data required
  • Knowledge of controls (i.e. SOX) compliance
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Deadline driven with excellent attention to detail and a self-starter.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
