Job Title: Social Media Specialist

Job Summary:

Join a dynamic and innovative team dedicated to enhancing brand reputation and strengthening Allstate’s digital presence. As part of the Social Media Center of Excellence, you'll play a vital role in connecting with audiences, fostering brand loyalty, and shaping our storytelling across social platforms.

This role offers a comprehensive experience in social media strategy, operations, and creative execution. The program is structured into two distinct phases, allowing you to develop expertise in community management and content creation.

Key Responsibilities:

Year 1: Engagement Consultant  

As an Engagement Consultant, you’ll focus on brand reputation management, ensuring positive and meaningful interactions with our online audiences. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring & Responding: Actively monitor social media platforms for mentions, comments, and messages, responding to customer inquiries and engaging with audiences in a timely, brand-aligned manner.
  • Reputation Management: Manage potential risks by addressing sensitive topics or negative feedback with professionalism and empathy.
  • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, PR, and Customer Care, to align messaging and resolve issues.

Year 2: Social Media Content Assistant

In your second year, you’ll transition into content support and development, helping craft engaging and impactful social media campaigns. Key responsibilities include:

  • Content Creation: Assist with the ideation, development, and execution of platform-specific content strategies, including brief writing and collaboration with marketing, creative and production teams.
  • Campaign Management: Manage content through approvals, tracking and posting requirements.
  • Performance Optimization: Track the success of content through analytics, refining strategies to maximize engagement.

Compensation

  • As an Apprentice, you will work part-time, ranging from 20 to 40 hours per week, with an hourly rate of pay between $18 and $25 per hour, depending on position. Benefits are also available.

• This job does not have supervisory duties.

Education & Experience (in lieu)

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
