As a key member of our team, you will focus on managing sales for a segment line in an assigned region in the US. You will play a critical role in developing and executing strategies to generate leads, nurture prospects, grow your region and ultimately contribute to the company's revenue goals. We are looking for people who have a strong ability to prospect and build new business relationships with a strategic vision for growth.  

This role will be a remote position, held anywhere in Central or Southeast, U.S.

  

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze market and segment potential customers based on needs, value creation, and solution fit and price point that align with the strategy.
  • Create, evaluate and execute regional penetration strategies and specific campaigns focused on scaling the number of assets under management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers based on value delivered.
  • Identifying new opportunities for value creation and performing quarterly business reviews.
  • Gather feedback from customers to educate internal product managers on product and services improvements with a focus on data monetization services.
  • Provide timely and accurate forecasts to management in a predictable, consistent and disciplined manner focusing on sales and revenue levels. 
  • Identify opportunities to deepen relationships with key resellers, turning them into strategic partners who play a central role in growth strategy.
  • Monitor and update business development activity in Salesforce and maintain a pipeline of activity through partners and resellers, and directly.
  • Manage/execute all business development goals and objectives pertaining to the assigned regions and segments.
  • Provide expert leadership and guidance as subject matter expert; develop a strong knowledge base of the industry and maintain top-of-mind awareness of trends and competitive landscape. 
  • Routine onsite meetings to drive awareness and visibility for both short-term & long-term sales opportunities/pipeline.
  • Represent ORBCOMM at tradeshows, conferences, and meetings to promote our brand. 

  

Who You Are:

You’re a strategic thinker with a knack for operational excellence, ready to tackle multiple priorities with agility and grace. If you have:  

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in telecommunications, technology, or information industries/IoT solutions and/or knowledge about Transportation & Logistics market and/or Cold-Chain knowledge and/or ORBCOMM product knowledge.
  • Proven track record of consistent quota achievement. 
  • Results driven with a passion for driving business growth. 
  • Able to anticipate and understand customer’s needs and provide viable solutions.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong relationship building and management skills. 
  • Strong time management skills, an effective multi-tasker. 
  • Travel up to 40% of the time.
  • Able to work with cross-functional teams.
