SUMMARY
Remote Position: The Director of Business Development will partner with key sales and delivery leaders in a focus to earn market share with identified strategic development of goals, strategy and vision related to the achievement of new business. The individual will provide sales strategies, drive lead generation, client presentations, contract negotiations and project planning, and the execution of sales-based initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees sales engagements based on hospital financial and market analysis with formulated and developed vision and strategy for execution
- Initiates, facilitates, manages, and builds new client and partner relationships.
- Identifies and develops resources relevant to business development and sales goals.
- Attracts and retains clients by developing highly creative outreach strategies.
- Leads and supports negotiations with clients, partners, and consultants.
- Plans, manages, coordinates, strengthens, and institutionalizes business development operations.
- Analyzes new business lessons learned to integrate learning to strengthen efforts.
- Develops career pathing, mentoring programs, and growth strategies for team members.
- Responsible for communication to internal customers and commercial business partners.
- Leads the selection, evaluation, monitoring, analysis and implementation of cost to include effective products, services and processes
- Writes, maintains and updates policies and procedures.
- Monitors individual and departmental activities through ongoing communication in order to review progress and exceed planned expectations of productivity and profitability.
- Aligns operational and sales goals and communicates key data changes to management.
- Develops training material across the entire business unit.
- Leads onboarding of new staff in the areas of sales and sales support.
- Manages sales process and identifies opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manages workflows in the client’s transition from Business Development Manager to Field Operations Manager.
- Attends site assessments and site visits to build client relations and ensure service delivery.
- Facilitates timely documentation and resource availability for new client engagements.
- Coordinates with fellow Operations Manager(s) to maintain interdepartmental continuity in business operations among cross functional teams.
- Ensures contractual obligations to clients are met.
- Assists with special projects.
- Performs additional duties as requested by management
REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s Degree in business, communications, sales, marketing healthcare administration or relevant field, and/or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of sales management leadership experience in the healthcare or staffing industry or like environment with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Solid experience with budget; P&L management; forecasting; human capital management; and performance management.
- Demonstrated skill set presenting to key decision makers in meetings and Project Management.
- Operational business acumen
- Specialization in building relationships that foster business development.
- Demonstrates a keen eye for elimination of redundancies and sales strategy realignment based on market conditions.
- Ability to use a variety of sales concepts, practices and procedures, and the ability to coordinate sales activities from conceptualization, to planning, to successful execution.
- Strong personal computer skills including mastery of Microsoft Office products and ability to learn proprietary software.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with team members, support departments, peers, and management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work cooperatively with all staff members and external customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to use sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through use of the telephone, email, video conference and face to face contact
- Ability to use manual dexterity, visual acuity and hearing acuity to effectively use and operate office related equipment such as but not limited to a computer, copier, scanner, camera, phone, headset, keyboard and mouse
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a keyboard and workstation with low periods of reaching and standing
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Compensation Range
$121,840.00 - $152,300.00
Benefits include: health, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, company-paid life insurance, 401K with discretionary match, paid time off, paid parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
