Job Description:

As part of our strategic expansion in the UK market, DXC Technology is seeking a highly skilled and client-focused Pre-sales and Solutioning Senior Consultant to drive the growth of our Financial Services Data & AI practice. This role is pivotal in shaping innovative data solutions, working closely with sales teams, clients, and technical experts to design, position, and present tailored strategies that address the evolving challenges of the UK financial services industry. By leveraging deep market insights and cutting-edge AI capabilities, this position will play a key role in expanding our footprint and accelerating business transformation for our clients.

This is a remote role within the UK, with occasional travel to client sites or company events when required.

Due to the nature of our client accounts, SC security clearance is required and for us to obtain this for you, you must be a sole British National that has lived and worked in the UK consecutively for the past 5 years.  Unfortunately, we are unable to consider dual nationals currently.

What you will be doing:

Client Engagement and Solutioning Support

  • Partner with sales teams to understand client requirements, focusing on financial services' unique challenges in data management, regulatory compliance, and analytics.

  • Deliver detailed product demos and presentations, effectively communicating the value and capabilities of data solutions tailored to UK financial regulations.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on best practices and emerging trends in financial data solutions.

Solution Design and Proposal Development

  • Design customized data solutions for financial services clients, ensuring compliance with regulations such as GDPR, FCA requirements, and MiFID II.

  • Develop detailed proposals, RFP responses, and statements of work (SOWs) that clearly outline solution capabilities, timelines, and costs.

  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to ensure solution feasibility while managing client expectations and addressing technical challenges.

Market and Industry Expertise

  • Maintain a deep understanding of financial services data trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to keep DXC's offerings competitive.

  • Conduct market analysis and provide insights into industry standards, helping shape product development and market positioning.

  • Co-create targeted go-to-market strategies and thought leadership materials to emphasize DXC’s expertise in financial data solutions.

Cross-functional Collaboration and Project Coordination

  • Work closely with data engineering, product management, and compliance teams to refine and validate proposed solutions.

  • Facilitate smooth hand-offs to implementation and support teams, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and project continuity.

  • Support account management and customer success teams by offering technical insights and guidance throughout the solution lifecycle.

  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to DXC’s Consulting and Engineering Services capability guilds, showcasing case studies of innovative work.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Proven experience in pre-sales, solutioning, or a similar role within financial services technology or data & AI solutions.

  • Proven expertise in designing data solutions tailored to the UK financial market, with knowledge of FCA guidelines, GDPR, MiFID II, and financial data regulations.

Must Have Skills & Competencies:

Technical & Financial Domain Expertise

  • In-depth understanding of data solutions and architecture, particularly for financial services (data governance, security, analytics, integration).

  • Proficiency in financial services data platforms, analytics tools, and cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Familiarity with data management tools and technologies such as ETL processes, BI platforms, and financial data standards.

Sales & Solutioning Skills

  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to craft compelling proposals, presentations, and technical documentation that align with client needs and highlight solution benefits.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess client requirements and deliver impactful solutions.

Industry Knowledge & Compliance Insight

  • Knowledge of the UK financial services market, including regulatory frameworks like GDPR, FCA requirements, and MiFID II.

  • Familiarity with key market trends and technological advances in financial data management and analytics.

Collaboration & Project Management

  • Excellent people skills, with experience collaborating across cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while ensuring timely delivery of client proposals and solutions.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with financial data analytics, risk assessment, or AI-driven solutions in financial services.

  • Certifications in data privacy, compliance, or financial data management (e.g., CDPSE, GDPR certification, Financial Data Analyst).

  • Prior experience working with UK-based financial institutions (e.g., banks, asset managers, insurance companies).
