JOB SUMMARY

In this growth-oriented role, you'll combine your technical expertise with marketing knowledge to drive innovative solutions across our digital platforms, directly impacting the success of small business owners nationwide. This role combines technical expertise with marketing knowledge to create personalized digital experiences across our platforms, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud and WordPress.

Working closely with our collaborative marketing team, you'll have opportunities to expand your skills across marketing technology while contributing to Hello Alice's mission of making entrepreneurship accessible to all.

This role reports to the Director of Marketing and offers significant opportunities for professional development and technical leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Platform Management
  • Serve as the technical owner of marketing platforms including Salesforce Marketing Cloud and WordPress, ensuring optimal configuration and integration with other systems
  • Manage data extensions, create and modify SQL scripts for campaign targeting and automation across platforms
  • Develop and maintain responsive email templates and web components using HTML/CSS and AMPscript
  • Configure and maintain data models, contact models, and organized information architecture
  • Implement and maintain proper tracking mechanisms including UTM parameters for accurate cross-channel attribution
Campaign Implementation & Optimization
  • Design and implement multi-touch customer journeys using Journey Builder and web-based touchpoints
  • Optimize email engagement to drive transactions, increase brand awareness, increase event engagement, and execute co-branded partnership campaigns
  • Build and optimize automated workflows including onboarding, newsletters, nurture campaigns, and lifecycle communications
  • Create triggered communications based on customer behaviors across email and web platforms
  • Develop and execute complex segmentation strategies for both email and web content delivery
  • Use AI tools to optimize content delivery timing and frequency for different segments
  • Maintain and optimize lead scoring models through the customer lifecycle
Content Management & Technical Implementation
  • Work with designers to create and maintain email and web templates aligned with best practices
  • Manage content libraries and assets across Marketing Cloud and WordPress
  • Implement SEO best practices and conversion optimization techniques across digital properties
  • Ensure consistent technical implementation of branding and messaging across all channels
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize existing processes proactively
  • Manage and execute the email marketing calendar for our community of 1.5M small business owners, ensuring timely and relevant communication
  • Oversee high-volume email deployment while maintaining optimal deliverability rates and engagement metrics
Required Skills and Experiences:
  • 3+ years’ experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, particularly in managing automation journeys
  • 3+ years’ experience with web content management systems, preferably WordPress or other CMS
  • Strong SQL proficiency for managing data extensions and automation workflows
  • Expertise in HTML and CSS
  • Experience with customer data platforms (CDP) (e.g., Segment)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent cross-functional communication abilities
  • Understanding of email copywriting best practices and ability to identify effectiveness of email content structure, calls-to-action, and messaging clarity
  • Understanding of email marketing and web content best practices, deliverability, and compliance regulations
  • Understanding of marketing automation and customer journey orchestration
Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification
  • Experience with HTML, PHP and WordPress theme management
  • Experience with social platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and X.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and modern front-end development practices
  • Experience with AI tools for content optimization (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini)
  • Background in marketing analytics and attribution modeling
  • Experience with A/B testing and optimization methodologies
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and implementation

Competitive benefits and salary range of $75,000 - $100,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications
