Marketing Associate: Podcast & Virtual Events Management

(WORK FROM HOME)

As a Marketing Associate specializing in Podcast and Virtual Events Management, you will play a key role in creating, managing, and promoting engaging virtual experiences. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and marketing of podcasts and virtual events that align with the company’s goals and values.

Key Responsibilities

Podcast Management:

  • Coordinate podcast production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of episodes.
  • Assist in content creation, such as episode topics, guest research, and script drafting.
  • Manage guest outreach, coordination, and communication.
  • Collaborate with editors and designers to produce high-quality podcast episodes.
  • Analyze podcast metrics and provide insights to improve performance and engagement.
 

Virtual Events Management:

  • Plan and execute virtual events such as webinars, expert panels, and live Q&A sessions.
  • Manage event logistics, including scheduling, invitations, and technical setup.
  • Collaborate with speakers and moderators to ensure smooth event delivery.
  • Promote virtual events through email campaigns, social media, and other marketing channels.
  • Gather feedback and create post-event reports to evaluate success and identify areas for improvement.

Content Creation & Management:

  • Write, review, edit, and update content for product web pages, marketing materials, virtual events (e.g., slide decks), partner resources,etc  as per product requirements.
  • Conduct research and self-learning based on provided materials to create required content in line with given guidelines.
  • Develop creative content, including Google Slide Decks, PDFs, social media graphics, and other graphic/text materials (knowledge in video creation will be an added advantage).
  • Create slide decks and promotional materials months in advance for upcoming events.

Event Planning & Execution:

  • Facilitate events held during night hours in the US (typically 5–6 AM Sri Lanka time). Availability for these time slots is non-negotiable.
  • Plan events by following given guidelines, including booking dates with the event host, planning event content and promotional materials, executing event promotional campaigns, and setting up live web platforms for events.
  • Manage pre-event and post-event tasks, such as:
  • Respond to attendee queries before or after events via email or text.
  • Provide reporting and analytics on events as required by the team manager or department head.
  • Update various data management sheets consistently, accurately, and on time in accordance with guidelines.
  • Work toward meeting set targets for deadlines and event attendance rates.

 Marketing Support:

  • Develop promotional strategies to increase engagement with podcasts and virtual events.
  • Design and distribute marketing materials, including social media posts, newsletters, and event announcements.
  • Monitor audience engagement and suggest strategies to boost attendance and participation.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Attend weekly meetings with the Manager, Department Heads, and CEO (if necessary) to discuss project updates, share feedback, and align on organizational goals.
  • Actively contribute ideas and insights during meetings to improve processes and achieve team objectives.
Qualifications
  1. Education & Experience:
    • Degree or Diploma in Marketing / Digital Marketing such as a CIM Certificate or Diploma Level, or any other recognized professional or academic qualification in Digital Marketing.
    • 1–2 years of experience in digital marketing, virtual event management, podcasting, or a similar role (experience in content writing, virtual events management or podcast production is an added advantage)
  2. Technical Expertise:
    • Familiarity with virtual event platforms (e.g., Zoom, WebinarJam) and email marketing tools.
    • Basic understanding of podcasting platforms and analytics tools to track performance.
  3. Organizational & Analytical Abilities:
    • Strong organizational and product management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
    • Excellent research skills to identify and gather information tailored to the target audience.
    • Ability to proofread and fact-check long-form content with attention to detail.
  4. Interpersonal & Cultural Fit:
    • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
    • Great interpersonal skills, openness to feedback, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
    • Adaptable to company culture and processes while maintaining a proactive and positive attitude.
  5. Deadline-Oriented: Ability to consistently meet deadlines and manage time efficiently to ensure timely delivery of tasks and responsibilities.

Availability for US Hours: Must be available to work from (5–8 AM IST),  one day a week (approximately 4–5 times per month). This includes working on mercantile holidays as needed.
