The Opportunity:
Postmedia is looking for an Account Manager to join our team, which develops digital and print advertising campaigns for a wide variety of clients. We are a growing team and foster a collaborative team approach in all that we do, working both locally and with other product, strategy and fulfillment teams across the country.
The ideal candidate is experienced in digital media marketing, has likely held an account management role with an agency, is hyper-organized, comfortable analyzing data/trends and a highly effective communicator. You collaborate well across internal teams and are comfortable expanding your role parameters as needed to get the job done. And above all, you are skilled at earning the trust of clients by displaying an understanding of their business needs and the right solutions to meet them.
What you’ll do:
Develop, manage and grow a specific set of accounts
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Manage post-sale initial onboarding, as a liaison between client and internal fulfillment teams to ensure proper campaign setup with a focus on making the process as easy as possible for the client
Track account health to identify cancellation risk and actively work to eliminate that risk via creative solutions
Drive resolution of customer concerns and provide feedback to Sales and/or Product teams
Guide and manage production, development, admin and creative requirements
Responsible for day-to-day client activity, status meetings and communication
Provide highly-responsive product, technical and creative support
Develop and deliver program performance presentations and lead strategic discussions
Ensures campaign strategies are implemented on time and adjusts or redirects strategies as needed.
Analyze campaign performance metrics and develop recommendations based on data
Provide client training to improve utilization of campaign elements and use reporting features, including any applicable reports or dashboards detailing program performance
Supports the vision of the company directors/partners
Who you are:
Account experience having worked on 20+ large and small accounts
Excellent Customer Service Skills
Ability to be flexible in a changing work environment and work well under pressure
Skilled at earning the trust of clients by displaying and understanding their business needs and the right solutions to meet them
Comfortable expanding your role parameters as needed to get the job done
Skilled at analyzing data and deriving/communicating insights to meet clients objectives
Strong communications skills; both written and oral
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Superior ability to manage and organize multiple projects and deadlines
Provide strategic guidance on identifying and engaging with media, analysts and influencers
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Advanced knowledge of Digital Strategy along with a competent level of technical ability
Be informed and able to discuss digital trends and current industry issues
Be aware of and able to articulate client’s digital strategy
Google Analytics experience and/or certification
AdWords Certification and familiarity within the Google framework is a plus
The compensation model for this position is base salary + commission.
