This role requires a proactive, curious, and accountable professional with proven leadership skills, project management expertise, and a passion for optimizing processes and outcomes. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, takes initiative, and consistently delivers measurable improvements.

Who You Are

  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data for decision-making and process improvement.

What You’ll Do

1. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Cargo Claims and Freight Audit & Invoice Dispute teams, fostering a positive, people-first culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Encourage a culture of curiosity, where team members proactively identify inefficiencies and propose solutions.
  • Build structured training and development programs to ensure team members are equipped to meet organizational goals.

2. Cargo Claims Management

  • Oversee the timely recovery of client claims, acting as the primary liaison between customers and carriers to advocate for optimal outcomes.
  • Develop initiatives to improve claim recovery rates and service levels, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure clear and regular communication with all parties involved, maintaining transparency and alignment throughout the claims process.
  • Analyze claims data to identify trends and recommend proactive strategies to reduce future loss or damage occurrences.

3. Freight Audit & Invoice Dispute Management

  • Ensure carrier invoices with variances are audited and processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the resolution of customer invoice disputes, liaising with carriers to secure fair outcomes for customers.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline the audit and dispute resolution processes, leveraging data insights to improve efficiency.

4. Continuous Improvement & Reporting

  • Build and enhance reporting tools and dashboards to track performance metrics, focusing on recovery rates, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Regularly present data-driven insights and success metrics to senior leadership, identifying areas for improvement and recommending actionable solutions.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize processes and improve service levels, ensuring alignment with high-level organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges and drive impactful improvements.

5. Project Management & Strategic Execution

  • Lead continuous improvement projects, implementing strategies that reduce inefficiencies and enhance customer experiences.
  • Proactively identify problem areas, dig into root causes, and implement solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Manage initiatives end-to-end, from planning through execution, and provide consistent updates to stakeholders without needing reminders.
