Job Details
The Business Management Experienced Associate performs basic and intermediate accounting functions related to business management and tax specifications. This job class requires knowledge of fundamental accounting and/or tax principals and the ability to perform work, manage progress and meet deadlines. Performs day-to-day full-charge bookkeeping functions for clients under general supervision.

· Collaborate and communicate with client and team members in a professional manner
· Work to actively sit and pass CPA examination
Essential Functions:
· Provides timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations.
· Ensures professional development through ongoing education and obtaining additional certifications as appropriate.
· Handles routine client tax questions, and works with clients to collect necessary information for tax return completion and compliance.
· Assists with providing advice on all business and financial matters. Budgets, monitors, and assesses the effective and efficient use of operating, research and reserve funds.
· Works with the team to prepare and review federal and state tax returns for partnerships, C corporations, S corporations and individuals Compiles work papers and other accounting reports.
· Develop tax compliance knowledge and assist with IRS audits, tax notice response, trust returns, gift and estate returns
· Participate in client assignments from beginning to end
· Prepares and indexes working papers; performs various procedures to verify accuracy and validity of client’s financial matters
· Receives, enters, approves, and, when necessary, investigates client's accounts payable invoices.
· Communicates (both in verbal and written form) with clients, client suppliers, vendors, and banking contacts.
· Handles client mail.
· Prepares appropriate schedules and reports as requested by clients and managers/partners.
· Deposits accounts receivables into client bank accounts.
· Handles client payroll.
· Books journal entries
· Assists accountants on tax return preparation.
· Assist account managers in generating 1099's and W-2's for clients.
· Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with all levels of client staff to increase customer satisfaction and to strengthen client relationships
· Completes research and special projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or related field required
· 1 – 2 years of related experience in tax, accounting or bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger or financial reports.
· Experience with tax research databases such as BNA and RIA
· Proficient in all tax compliance process software including Access, Prosystems and other tax related software.
· Experience with Datafaction, Agilink and QuickBooks Online is strongly preferred.
· Creative problem solving and research skills
· Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
· Able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
· Highly motivated and interested in taking the initiative for personal growth and development
· Able to handle multiple priorities, tasks and simultaneous projects
· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Pay Range: $70,000-$85,000
