Job description

We are hiring a Development Manager to assist in growing and delivering our client organization's development strategy. This role will support the CEO in defining long-term strategic goals, creating a pipeline strategy, and managing our funder network.

Location:
  • Preferred locations: Mumbai, Pune, or Bangalore.
  • Remote work option available.
Key Responsibilities:

Development Strategy and Planning:

  • Support the CEO in defining and implementing long-term organizational goals.
  • Assist in creating a comprehensive pipeline strategy.
  • Research new trends to develop innovative approaches and campaigns.

Business Development:

  • Identify and create collateral (publications, videos, online communications, etc.) to support fundraising activities.
  • Lead direct marketing and crowdfunding campaigns, including mail and online appeals.
  • Organize and coordinate fundraising events.

CSR & Partnerships:

  • Identify potential CSR partnerships to bring in revenue and support.
  • Plan and execute persuasive campaigns and pitches for donors.
  • Prepare donor proposals, concept notes, reports, and high-impact communications to engage prospective donors.

Individual Donors (HNI):

  • Develop a pipeline of new high-net-worth individuals (HNI) donors through outreach.
  • Research and identify prospective HNI donors and collaborate with the CEO to present the organization's work to secure high-level donations.
  • Strengthen relations with existing donors and support the CEO in conversion efforts.

Donor Stewardship:

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for long-term, high-potential donors.
  • Curate bespoke engagement opportunities to deepen existing partnerships.
  • Develop strategies for donor renewals and work with the Communications Team to enhance donor experience.
  • Manage ongoing donor communications and engagement.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Graduate/Postgraduate in any field.
  • 3+ years of relevant full-time work experience, preferably in fundraising, partnerships, and network-building.
  • B2B Sales/Business Development experience is preferred.
  • A background in Investment Banking is a plus.
