Job description

We are hiring a Development Manager to assist in growing and delivering our client organization's development strategy. This role will support the CEO in defining long-term strategic goals, creating a pipeline strategy, and managing our funder network.

Location:

Preferred locations: Mumbai, Pune, or Bangalore.
Remote work option available.

Key Responsibilities:

Development Strategy and Planning:

Support the CEO in defining and implementing long-term organizational goals.
Assist in creating a comprehensive pipeline strategy.
Research new trends to develop innovative approaches and campaigns.

Business Development:

Identify and create collateral (publications, videos, online communications, etc.) to support fundraising activities.
Lead direct marketing and crowdfunding campaigns, including mail and online appeals.
Organize and coordinate fundraising events.

CSR & Partnerships:

Identify potential CSR partnerships to bring in revenue and support.
Plan and execute persuasive campaigns and pitches for donors.
Prepare donor proposals, concept notes, reports, and high-impact communications to engage prospective donors.

Individual Donors (HNI):

Develop a pipeline of new high-net-worth individuals (HNI) donors through outreach.
Research and identify prospective HNI donors and collaborate with the CEO to present the organization's work to secure high-level donations.
Strengthen relations with existing donors and support the CEO in conversion efforts.

Donor Stewardship:

Serve as the primary relationship manager for long-term, high-potential donors.
Curate bespoke engagement opportunities to deepen existing partnerships.
Develop strategies for donor renewals and work with the Communications Team to enhance donor experience.
Manage ongoing donor communications and engagement.

Qualifications & Experience:

Graduate/Postgraduate in any field.
3+ years of relevant full-time work experience, preferably in fundraising, partnerships, and network-building.
B2B Sales/Business Development experience is preferred.
A background in Investment Banking is a plus.
