Job description

This is a remote position.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned and highly motivated Senior Vice President/Director to join our dynamic team. This is a senior leadership role that will work closely with the Partner and be responsible for driving end to end deal execution. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in investment banking with a strong network of senior-level connections at leading Private Equity funds, Venture Capitalists, and other institutional investors. The candidate should have proven expertise in managing all stages of a capital raise, from initial client discussions to the successful closure of transactions.


Key Responsibilities:

Deal Origination & Execution:

  • Lead the end-to-end deal process, including structuring, marketing, and closing of capital-raising transactions.

  • Manage relationships with key clients, understanding their business needs and helping them raise capital through private equity, venture capital, family offices, and other institutional investors.

  • Oversee the preparation of key deal marketing materials, such as pitch decks, financial models, investment teasers, and other investor-facing documentation.

  • Take a hands-on approach to building and nurturing relationships with senior decision-makers at institutional investors, ensuring successful investor introductions and follow-ups.

Investor Relations & Marketing:

  • Develop and execute a robust investor outreach strategy targeting potential institutional investors (PE funds, VCs, family offices, etc.).

  • Identify and target the right set of investors for each deal, leveraging your extensive network to secure meetings and generate interest.

  • Lead regular investor meetings, manage investor queries, and build long-term relationships with key fund managers and investors.

  • Represent the firm and its clients at high-level investor meetings, industry events, and conferences.


Deal Structuring & Negotiations:

  • Lead negotiations on deal terms, manage documentation reviews, and support clients in understanding complex investment agreements.

  • Advise clients on the most effective deal structures, considering their business needs and investor requirements.

  • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure that all agreements are reviewed and finalized in line with client expectations.

Team Leadership & Mentorship:

  • Mentor junior team members and assist in developing their skills and knowledge in the investment banking and capital markets domain.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the effective delivery of services and on-time execution of deals.

  • Play an active role in maintaining a high-performance, client-oriented culture within the team.

Diligence Support:

  • Provide diligence support during the fundraising process, helping clients prepare for investor due diligence sessions.

  • Coordinate between clients, legal teams, auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth diligence processes and data rooms.

Market Intelligence & Thought Leadership:

  • Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and evolving investor appetite to identify new opportunities.

  • Contribute to the firm's thought leadership initiatives, including research, white papers, and presentations for key stakeholders.



Requirements


Academic Qualifications:

MBA, CFA, or other relevant professional qualifications in finance, economics, or related fields from a top-tier institution.


Key Requirements:
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in investment banking, with a strong focus on capital raising, deal structuring, and client management.

  • Proven track record of executing mid-to-large-size private equity or venture capital transactions in India or similar emerging markets.

  • Demonstrated ability to originate and close deals, leading the process end to end.

  • Strong, established relationships with senior-level decision-makers at Private Equity firms, Family Offices, Venture Capitalists, and other institutional investors.

  • Ability to leverage this network to successfully drive fundraising efforts for clients.

  • Deep understanding of private equity, venture capital, and institutional investment processes, including the intricacies of deal structuring, negotiation, and due diligence.

  • Advanced knowledge of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and capital raising strategies.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to clients, investors, and stakeholders.

  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to manage diverse perspectives and close deals.
