Job Description

The Retail Sales Development executive Benelux will be responsible for driving significant new business, across the NIQ & GfK portfolio within the market. You will be responsible for achieving quarterly sales targets by identifying and driving new business opportunities to add incremental revenues for our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategic understanding of our retailer’s industry/business/markets/clusters. 
  • Increase penetration of the NIQ/GFK solution portfolio with a focus on our Business Intelligence solutions (category management, pricing, supply chain,…)
  • Drive client growth through expanding our client base among the Retail Industry and establishing a strong understanding of the client's business and proactively seek opportunities to offer additional services.
  • Strategic business development focusing on a long tail of retailers operating in the Netherlands and Belgium, leveraging the entire NIQ & GfK portfolio with the aim of growing revenue/services across our solutions and brands.
  • Identifying new key stakeholders across the buying centers of existing Retail Partners and Key Prospects and introducing our services and benefits applying winning strategic selling technics (eg. Stakeholder mapping, Competitive intelligence, SPIN etc.).
  • Managing RFPs (from need assessment to pitch presentations all the way to negotiation and closing larger deals) in close collaboration the respective Key Account Manager / AD and our brands and solutions to answer Key Business Questions of Retailers with (integrated) solutions.
  • Proactively win Retailers currently not benefiting from our strong assets when making decisions and also WIN key Retailers to our Retail Partner Program.
  • Building a network of effective and meaningful relationships at all levels, both internally and externally, to maximize business opportunities. 
  • Implement Global and Regional strategy and organization, be able to drive change. 
  • Represent NIQ/GfK at Retail industry & networking events. 
  • Accurately forecasting revenue to your line manager and assuring pipeline accuracy.

Qualifications
  • Mininum of 2 or 3 years experience in managing revenue targets, with a strong desire to consistently overachieve against both personal targets and objectives.
  • SaaS solutions sales experience with a proven track record of delivering strong results against revenue targets and KPIs then this role is for you!
  • Retail, FMCG or Software background experience
  • Strong Communication and Time-Management skills
  • Proficient in dutch and english
