SBA Business Development Officer II
The SBA Business Development Officer II is responsible for generating SBA 7(a), SBA 504, and USDA loans for the SBA Group. This remote position involves originating and funding loans nationwide within a specialized industry vertical, with annual production goals typically around $12 million. The ideal candidate must reside in Florida.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or successful industry experience
- Five years of outside sales experience within the bank industry.
- Industry experience and knowledge of the SBA loan programs. (7A and 504).
- Thorough knowledge of current SBA SOP, regulations, and practices
- Proficient Administrative/Technical skill
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel)
- The ideal candidate must have extensive BDO experience in loan origination, understating financial analysis and relationship driven.
- Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Generates new business through prospecting, outside calling, networking, attending conferences and developing new referral sources.
- Maintains and applies a thorough understanding of the bank's credit policy, SBA eligibility and all necessary business practices to ensure the submission of accurate and complete loan application packages
- By year-end, achieves 100% of established annual goal production that will be determined at or near the beginning of every year.
- Generates loans that maintain an acceptable level of performance. Assists special assets and credit services in any requested servicing action within assigned marketing area.

This position does not directly manage employees.

POSITION TYPE
This is a full-time position that requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

This position requires up to 15% travel.
