Territory Sales Rep - Dealer Channel (Eastern Ontario)

 

Outside Sales – Territory Sales Representative. You must have a proven track record of success with 3-5 years of solid sales experience. As a Territory Sales Representative you will be responsible for growing and maintaining business in the Dealer and Home Centre sectors in the designated geographical region (Eastern Ontario).  

 

You are responsible for developing and building relationships with new and existing customers to generate sales revenue. You possess the ability to achieve sales targets through effectively developing designated territory.  Your results driven sales approach will actively seek out and engage customer prospects while balancing sales and service expectations.

 

Organizational Relationship

This position reports directly to the Eastern Regional Sales Manager.  

 

Accountabilities

  • Promote and sell our MasterBrand product portfolio following our strategic plan.
  • Develop relationships with Dealers and Home Centre partners to establish long term relationships and identify new opportunities.
  • Participate in strategic planning process, identifying, evaluating, and qualifying potential opportunities.
  • Maintain and build strong customer relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Meet/exceed territory budget requirements.
  • Monitor and track performance of products, programs, and relationships, while measuring financial impact.
  • Provide and train customers on detailed product, program, and pricing information.
  • Create and follow up on customer leads through cold calling.
  • Continuously scan the market to stay current on industry trends and identify growth potential opportunities.
  • Monitor competition by gathering market information and report as required.
  • Provide necessary forecasting and reports in an accurate, timely manner.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as required.

 

Characteristics & Attributes

  • A proven successful sales track record (Cabinetry experience preferred).
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • A solid understanding of construction industry practices and standards, and ability to understand construction specifications.
  • Design and/or architectural background an asset.
  • Must be able to research and develop an in-depth understanding of your region.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong follow-up skills and solid relationship management skills.
  • Must possess a disciplined approach to prioritizing multiple accounts, knowing how to best allocate time and resources.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Self-starter with strong prospecting skills.

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of outside sales leadership experience.
  • Excellent technical skills including a working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point & Internet Explorer.
  • 20/20 Design Software knowledge is an asset.
