HSP, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and energetic Director of Business Development with a strong focus on hands-on business development and sales. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, writing, and strategic selling skills, and will be responsible for managing the Business Development team, leading sales efforts, and driving growth in key market areas.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage and lead the Business Development team- dedicating 60-70% of time to direct sales and 20-30% to management
· Reponsible for Developing and Executing on Company’s Growth Strategy
· Create and Execute Marketing Plans and Strategies
· Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets, identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, build customer relationships, and close new business deals
· Manage the activities of the Business Development Team across target staffing segments in Government (Federal, State, County), Public Health, Health Services and Education (K-12 and University)
· Oversee the RFP process to identify bid opportunities, make go no go decisions and have final review of bid content and tracking.
· Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, leveraging existing networks and forging new connections to drive business growth.
· Conduct outside sales activities, follow up on phone calls, and participate in virtual meetings and presentations.
· Engage in strategic planning for event participation to enhance booth interest and significantly increase lead generation.
· Oversee the sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation, including creating proposals for staffing services, ensuring a seamless customer experience, and maximizing revenue potential.
· Works with internal stakeholders to understand the company's strengths and value proposition to develop sales strategies that result in sustainable and profitable growth.
· Provide periodic updates on the progress of business development initiatives against the set strategic objectives
· Promotes corporate image and acts as the brand ambassador for the company.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree required
· Proven track record of success in business development, with a minimum of 5 plus years of experience in professional service sales. Staffing sales experience is preferred.
· RFP experience a plus
· Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving common goals.
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a keen ability to articulate complex concepts and influence decision-makers.
· Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of driving initiatives forward in a dynamic and competitive environment.
· Willingness to travel as needed to engage with clients and attend industry events.
· Experience with CRM software, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe, and DocuSign for various tasks.
Compensation:
Base Salary: $120,000 - $150,000
Commission Potential: Earn 1.5% of the generated Gross Profit.
On-Target Earnings (OTE): $240,000 - $270,000 Depending on Performance
