What will you be doing?
As a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in the Degree Apprenticeship team in QAA you will be working with learners on the Level 7 AI Data specialist Programme that are studying alongside full-time work to develop themselves in their professional specialism.
We teach using Blended Learning, which means that our Lecturers support learners through online content and activities, remote interactive sessions (e.g. WebEx or discussion forums) and in live-online or Face-to-Face workshop.
Supporting the development of training courses and updates to the framework alongside subject matter experts for our customers
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality learning courses to learners and organisations across the Degree and AI curriculum
- Development of course materials including video for online learning, learning activities, slide decks and assessments for multiple modules within Degree Apprenticeship and AI programmes
- Provide in-depth expert knowledge in data and AI, offering insights cross functionally when required
- Contribute to product maintenance:
- Checking existing material for accuracy
- Updating existing material - manuals and labs
- Creating new material
- To contribute to the wider team activities on assessment and teaching as required.
- Act as moderator and peer reviewer for modules on a termly basis.
- Positive ambassador for QA by performing to QA’s expected reputation for excellence and innovation
- Take ownership for own continuous professional development (CPD) to ensure up to date and relevant subject knowledge.
Criteria needed for this position
- MSc achieved in a STEM / Tech related subject
- Teaching experience in an educational setting (i.e lecturing)
- Industry experience in AI/Data Science/Machine Learning and Programming (Python/R)
- Teaching qualification achieved desirable
