Job description

A good analytical person with strong Sql/SSRS experience and exposure to PowerBI and any scripting language. Data Analyst who has worked in Workday HCM, Peoplesoft HR, Lawson, Infor HR etc.

About the Role:

The analytics data engineer builds data pipelines and reports based on those data flows using SQL, and python. The analytics engineer will also add visualizations to these datasets leveraging our reporting UI. Will be responsible for migration of SSRS reports to Bi.

Responsibilities:

  • Build data pipelines using Apache Airflow (Python, SQL)
  • Build data visualizations on React framework
  • Review, analyze and collaborate with business analyst and other development teams (including security) to fully understand requirements; contribute to the development approach for coding.
  • Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
  • Understand data guidelines, and data sources available, and how the project will impact common data stores.
  • Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Provide SME on components or application and data to other teams; also provide ad-hoc reporting.
  • In addition, they will work on most stories independently with minimal supervision; however, they do not have a full grasp of the big picture, nor the full software development life cycle.
  • They have full latitude for independent judgment when applying skills and problem-solving capabilities, with oversight required by senior team members.
  • This position collaborates with the development team, QA, Security, collaborative groups/clients and other cross-functional teams to define, provide for, and test deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Must have data experience with SQL and Python
  • Experience with HR or Payroll application
  • Nice to have experience with Javascript/React and front end programming
  • Should have the ability to build reports and dashboards
