About the role

The Outsourcing Team is one of the structural teams forming the Bank Information Group. They're responsible for managing and overseeing the risks of outsourcing and other third-party arrangements, including documentation related to operation resilience and exit plans.

We’re looking for an Outsourcing Manager to collaborate with Compliance, Risk, and service delivery teams to help manage ongoing supplier and intra-group relationships. You'll ensure proper documentation and regulatory reporting deliverables related to third-party management.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing activities related to outsourcing and third-party risk management, including onboarding, due diligence, risk assessment, and continuous vendor monitoring

  • Implementing the outsourcing and third-party risk management policy and operating model for supply chain and outsourcing management

  • Controlling that approvals are processed through internal governance in relation to outsourcing changes and other vendor lifecycle deliveries

  • Providing clear guidance for staff on third-party risk management procedures, risk assessments, and their ongoing accountability

  • Ensuring regulatory compliance as it relates to Australian regulations

  • Preparing regular reports to senior management on the status of outsourcing activities, the risks, compliance, and performance metrics

What you'll need

  • Fluency in English

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, information technology, management, or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience

  • 3+ years of experience in technology service delivery in an enterprise technical environment or similar

  • Thorough knowledge of IT service management practices, processes, tools, and ITIL Framework

  • An understanding of vendor management in financial services, consultancy, or fintech

  • Familiarity with Australian Banking regulations and prudential standards, especially in relation to Outsourcing - CPS 231 and in the future CPS230

  • Experience developing service management, monitoring processes, and conducting risk assessments for outsourcing arrangements and on an ongoing basis

  • Great analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to have

  • The ability to provide recommendations based on data using SQL or Python

  • Executive and Board-level interaction experience

  • Solid connections across industry stakeholder groups

  • Proficiency in Atlassian and Google suite
