This is a commission-only 1099 role. There is no base salary provided; instead, your compensation will be based on your achievements and success in driving results for the company. After 6 months, there is potential to convert to a full-time role.
Reporting to our president, the Sales Representative will be instrumental in meeting our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets, ensuring our company remains competitive and innovative. The incumbent will be responsible for crafting sales plans, developing marketing materials, and utilizing CRM software to achieve company goals. This position will also communicate progress to our leadership team, including reporting metrics, evaluating program success, and modifying those programs to remain competitive and profitable, propelling us into the future.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
– Developing field sales action plans to implements sales programs
– Maintaining sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
– Establishing and adjusting selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand
– Working with affiliates and conducting market research to maintain a consistent stream of leads
– Embodying company culture and fostering high sales employee engagement.
– Ensuring correct usage of company CRM and other programs
– Advising leadership on CRM and other sales tools
– Developing marketing materials with in-house team, as well as outside contractors
– Regularly visiting clients or prospects, accounting for approximately 30% of working hours on average
– Staying updated on professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
– Identifying emerging markets, market shifts, and solicit cold leads
– Developing positive working relationship with vendors and assisting in acquiring new vendors and corporate partners
– Attending industry events, trade shows, and exhibit at tradeshows as needed
Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; business and marketing majors preferred plus a minimum of three years of sales experience; within industry is preferred
Preferred qualifications
– One-year of prior management experience or demonstrated willingness and ability to learn management basics
– Strong intrapersonal skills
– Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence effectively at all levels of the organization
– Strong business sense and industry experience
– Familiarity with data analysis and reporting
– Proficiency in Microsoft suite business software, internet, database, CRM software, Google applications, cloud based file management systems, and other related technological / computer skills
– Positive and enthusiastic attitude with an entrepreneurial spirit
– Proven ability to drive the sales process from planning to close
– Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences

Additional details
The ideal candidate will have experience working with industrial coffee equipment, either as part of previous work experience or in an equipment sales capacity, along with demonstrated sales experience.
Our team regularly travels across North America, often with overnight stays, and occasionally some international destinations.
