Account Manager – Non-Profit Sector

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Manager to join the team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the organization's growth by securing strategic partnerships and sponsorships. The Account Manager will be responsible for identifying and cultivating relationships with potential sponsors, negotiating sponsorship packages, and ensuring the successful execution of sponsorship agreements.

Responsibilities

Business Development:
  • Identify and engage potential sponsors through market research, cold calling and networking.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to attract new sponsors and partners.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of sponsorship opportunities.
  • Sources prospects and secures new business opportunities
  • Actively pursues all new leads and referrals for potential sponsors
  • Attend networking events and trade shows to promote organization
Sponsorship Sales:
  • Create compelling sponsorship packages tailored to the needs and objectives of potential sponsors.
  • Conduct sales presentations and pitches to showcase the benefits of partnering
  • Negotiate sponsorship agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for both parties.
  • Work with the business development team to generate new business development leads and opportunities for the organization
  • Assist with the development of communication tools, such as sponsorship decks and presentations targeted to stakeholders and partner organizations
  • Drafts contra/in-kind agreements in pursuit of new sponsorship agreements
Relationship Management:
  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with sponsors to maximize engagement and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of sponsorship benefits.
  • Provide excellent customer service to sponsors and address any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Event Support:
  • Collaborate with the events team to integrate sponsors into relevant programs and initiatives.
  • Attend and represent the organization at events to network with potential sponsors.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years recent Business Development experience
  • Proven experience in sponsorship sales and business development.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent MS Office skills required.
  • Experience working with Asana and Salesforce required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
