Senior Business Development Executive- Global Saas

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Are you a self-motivated B2B software sales leader, excited by the prospect of accelerating growth for an African HR fintech that’s expanding across the continent?

Workpay is on a mission to help organizations in Africa manage and pay employees easily, legally, and compliantly. Whether for remote employees in Mali or a local team in Mozambique, Workpay’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) tools ensure that payrolls, compliance, benefits, and payments arrive on time. Background

Workpay has doubled in size over the last two years. Hundreds of organizations in East and West Africa are now using our SaaS platform to better manage their employees’ payroll and benefits in Africa, and demand for our powerful, user-friendly tools remains on the rise. This is especially true in Kenya and East Africa, so we need five experienced sales leaders to turn that demand into continued sales growth on the ground.


Role Overview

Workpay is seeking a B2B software sales enthusiast who thrives in a startup-like environment and can initiate conversations and close B2B customers, carrying them through a complex sales cycle. Your sales knowledge will help drive results and continuously build on the product through client feedback. You will report directly to our Chief Business Officer. If you are successful, Workpay will grow, and so will your role and career.


Responsibilities
  • Design sales visits and presentations to pitch solutions to clients.

  • Negotiate sales, package discounts, and long-term contracts with clients.

  • Actively track progress toward goals and document it on the proper tools

  • Become fluent in all products and solutions Workpay offers

  • Be the trusted advisor directing clients on the pros and cons of various competing products or services

  • Gain familiarity with the HRM/Payroll industry, and stay updated on trends and innovative products for our clients

  • Manage customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.


Required Qualities and Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience with SaaS B2B Sales

  • Experience working in a competitive, diverse fast-paced technology environment

  • Strong track record of exceeding revenue targets

  • Good understanding of sales processes (the science of sales)

  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and in all environments.

  • Strong knowledge of SaaS and solutions market trends

  • A client advisor who provides good customer insight
