Job Title: Sr. Construction Project Manager - Data Centers

Location: On-Site at multiple Locations across the US to include but not limited to: MS, IN, GA, & AZ.

Project Length: Multiple 1+ year long projects with strong possibility of extension and/or conversion

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Construction Project Manager to oversee the construction of our mission-critical and hyper-scale data centers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large, complex construction projects involving significant mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. This role requires a hands-on approach, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to drive cost, schedule, and quality on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the owner’s representative on the construction site daily, interacting with construction trades and managing vendors and contractors.

• Oversee construction project management and related activities for new builds and general capital projects, ensuring project scope, quality, schedule, and budget are maintained.

• Interface directly with general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and project closeout phases.

• Conduct detailed negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals accurately.

• Create construction project scope documents and requests for proposals (RFPs).

• Perform financial analysis of construction projects.

• Manage specific initiatives aimed at increasing the resiliency of data centers.

• Conduct constructibility reviews of electrical and mechanical designs for new data centers or optimization of existing facilities.

• Oversee construction document management, including submittal review, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.

• Ensure construction project quality control.

• Record and report key construction metrics to team members and management.

• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause failure analysis for equipment failures.

• Provide leadership within the construction team and across internal and external support teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent engineering science; OR 6+ years of related construction management experience in lieu of a degree.

• 6+ years of experience managing large, complex construction projects with significant MEP systems.

• 6+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience, including RFPs, bidding, change orders, quality control, and RFI/submittal tracking.

• 6+ years of experience constructing large-scale electrical engineering systems, including power distribution/generation gear, and mechanical engineering systems, including cooling systems.
