Position Description

We are seeking a Mobile Credential Project Manager to oversee and coordinate the implementation of mobile student ID programs for higher education institutions. This role ensures compliance with vendor guidelines, manages project timelines, and facilitates cross-functional collaboration to ensure a seamless deployment. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, stakeholder coordination, and technical documentation, with a keen eye for detail and adherence to best practices.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Coordination
  • Develop, maintain, and track project plans to support institutions through scope, discovery to launch.

  • Work closely with engineering, security, and product teams to track and drive technical commitments, ensuring timely delivery of required integrations.

  • Establish and maintain communication with universities, service providers,  Apple Credential providers to ensure alignment across stakeholders.

Technical & Operational Oversight
  • Monitor the provisioning processes, ensuring institutions follow End-to-End (E2E) testing and Launch Readiness protocols.

  • Track and escalate technical issues that may impact compliance, security, or student user experience.

  • Work with internal teams to ensure Express Mode, security requirements, and transaction handling are properly implemented.

Reporting & Launch Support
  • Coordinate with institutions to submit launch schedules, customer support documentation, and marketing assets in accordance with Apple’s best practices.

  • Oversee ongoing updates, ensuring institutions remain compliant with Apple’s fraud prevention, lifecycle management, and user experience guidelines.

  • Analyze project data and metrics to drive continuous improvements in mobile credential adoption and usage.

Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure all institutions adhere to Apple’s Student ID guidelines and best practices during implementation.

  • Advocate on behalf of institutions during the mobile credential process with vendors, engineering, and product team.

  • Manage and track the submission of project documentation, internal and partner tickets,  project tasks, ensure adherence with partner visual and technical specifications.

  • Regularly update and maintain documentation in Apple Partner Hub, Apple Business Register, and Zoho Projects to reflect project progress and compliance.


Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, in one or more of the following areas: higher education technology, mobile payments, access control, systems integration, or IAM.

  • Experience with, or strong willingness to learn and grow in mobile wallet technology, including Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, provisioning processes, and security best practices.

  • Experience managing and navigating multiple systems and processes across various partners to ensure seamless integration and collaboration.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong communication skills, with experience in coordinating between technical teams, clients, and third-party vendors.

  • Experience with engineering coordination and technical troubleshooting.
