Job description

Job Summary::

North Stone is seeking a highly skilled and driven Project Manager with a strong background in software development, systems integration, and data technologies to lead complex projects within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. This role requires an experienced professional capable of managing the full system development lifecycle, from planning and execution to monitoring, delivery, and closure.

 

*This position is contingent upon contract award*

Job Duties and Responsibilities: :
  • Lead in all phases of the system development lifecycle including creating technical designs, program code, test plans, and verifying test results.
  • Shall apply standards, principles, and techniques of project management to monitor, control, and direct completion of all requirements, from receipt and initiation through planning, scheduling, execution, monitoring, transition, and closure.
  • Responsible for the schedule and technical performance of the project.
  • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules.
  • Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Develops new business or expands the project with the customer.
  • Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical and operational to administrative areas.
  • Ensures all program risks identified early and assessed. Directs mitigation activities and coordinates with Government stakeholders to ensure all risks and issues are addressed and resolved.
  • Ensure work is completed with high quality. Drives continuous improvement. Identifies root causes of performance gaps, and formulate corrective action plans for improvement with area team members. Monitor program progress and make recommendations when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned. 
Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience)::
  • Active Secret clearance required!
  • Minimum of Five (5) years of which at least three (3) years must be relevant program management work experience related to software development.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work independently or under minimal general direction
  • Must be able to analyze user needs to determine functional requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Led systems integration projects within the DoD.
  • Experience implementing or maintaining Data technologies.
  • PMP certification is highly desirable.
