Job description

As a Staff Accountant, you will report to the Accounting Manager and play a crucial role in our finance team, focusing on billing and accounts receivable. You will ensure accurate invoicing, maintain customer accounts, and support financial reporting, helping to drive the financial health of our company.

   What you’ll do
  • Process high volume of customer invoices accurately and timely in accordance with contract terms
  • Manage accounts receivable, monitor aging reports, and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies in billing or payments
  • Work closely with the Customer Success and Sales teams to address billing inquiries and disputes
  • Assist with cash application and ensure payments are properly recorded
  • Prepare and maintain reports related to billing, collections, and revenue trends
  • Support month-end close activities, including AR reconciliations and journal entries
  • Assist in improving billing processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
  • Participate in audits by providing necessary documentation and support
   What you’ll bring
  • 2+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a similar accounting role, preferably in a SaaS or subscription-based business
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong understanding of billing and collections processes
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar ERP systems)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to process improvement
  • Experience with SaaS billing models, deferred revenue, and ASC 606 compliance
  • Must reside and be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship
Compensation
The expected salary for this position is 65k annually. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and years of relevant experience.
