This position, Finance Manager for Beckman Coulter Mishima K.K is responsible for all financial planning, accounting, compliance, and local statutory reporting activities for Manufacturing (Operation) site which is subsidiary of Beckman Coulter K.K, expected to work on-site at Mishima located in Shizuoka, Japan. (able to work from home a few times per week if necessary).

You will be a part of the Beckman Coulter K.K Finance team and report to the Sr. Finance Manager, Dotted: Plant Director / Operation Regional VP/Operation Finance VP, responsible for oversee all financial activities within the team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide various financial reporting and accounting such as AP, AR, Inventory, Production Costing, Headcount control, Treasury, Tax, SOX and Internal Audit.
  • Seek transactional excellence in Manufacturing Accounting.
  • Demonstrate financial acumen and analytical intelligence with clear insights to support management.
  • Drive team with strong leadership and hand-on approach for various tasks.
  • Directs reporting of actual results, including for GAAP and statutory purposes, as applicable for the country.
  • Support plant leadership in strategic and tactical initiatives to drive long and short term productivity and cost-out

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience of Finance and Accounting
  • Experience of leading a Finance team with staff management.
  • Strong understanding of US-GAAP (main), Japanese GAAP (minor) – Cost accounting, AP/AR, Treasury and Tax.
  • Experience of leading various audits and managing compliance requirements - SOX, Internal, and tax audit.
  • Working experience for a Manufacturing plant.
  • Advanced skill of Excel (must) and other MS Office software.
  • Experience of major ERP (Oracle (preferred) or SAP)
  • Communication skill in English (TOEIC 850 level or more), both in written and speaking

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • CPA (US or Japan) , MBA or relevant certifications are plus
  • Knowledge in Oracle/Hyperion, Power BI is a plus.    
  • Working experience for multi-national-company is plus.
