Job Description

We are looking for a Golang Software Developer with PHP experience to join our new Customs and Trade Compliance team.

Your primary responsibility is to migrate production functionality from PHP to GO in line with a microservices architecture.

This includes owning the system for customs product data, proactively investigating issues, and working closely with multiple teams: shipping, data management, and products to ensure accurate and reliable user behavior data.

You will play a key role in building a scalable system and managing issue resolution processes in collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain the new system for customs product data
Working on support and improvements to the current system
Work with AI-driven SaaS solution for automated product classification to enhance efficiency and accuracy in customs operations
to reducing reliance on manual classification, the system will minimize errors
Create, document, and escalate issues
through clear, actionable tasks to relevant engineering teams.
Collaborate cross-functionally
with tracking implementation, analytics engineering, and product teams to resolve problems quickly and prevent them in the future
Continuous learning

Job Requirements

Working knowledge of GO, PHP
Strong foundation in SQL and data-centric development
Experience in building and maintaining scalable backend systems, ensuring data integrity, and supporting event-driven architectures
Develop and maintain unit, functional and integration tests
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
Familiarity with Slack Alert integration and automated alerting systems (a plus)
