Job description

VetsEZ is currently seeking a .Net Developer to join a team to support a project with the Department of Veterans Affairs. The position will support the Data Migration & Syndication effort within the Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO).

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain web applications using Angular/TypeScript and MVC.
Implement backend services using .NET Core C#, Web APIs, ObjectScript, and Python.
Design and manage databases using MSSQL and InterSystems IRIS by querying for data, analyzing performance, and maintaining appropriate indexes.
Utilize tools and libraries such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, SSIS, SSMS, IIS, Bootstrap, DevExpress, PrimeNG, Docker, Fortify, Microsoft Threat Modeling Tool, GitHub, Postman, and OpenAPI (Swagger).
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
Implement new features and enhancements by working with other individuals and teams to support software updates.
Perform integration testing, unit testing, and performance testing for software changes.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of code documentation.
Deploy applications to test and production environments and manage their configurations.
Monitor the performance of applications in IIS and troubleshooting issues related to those applications running in IIS.
Use of version control, such as Git, to manage code changes and track development progress.
Collaborate and communicate with other developers and teams.
Research and keep up to date with new technologies and trends in all languages and frameworks used.
Maintain and update existing codebases to keep them up to date and secure.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other Engineering or technical discipline.
5+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Developer with proficiency in Angular/TypeScript, .NET Core (Web APIs), and SQL Server.
Experience with Agile software development and its software development life cycle (SDLC).
Experience in the VA or other federal organizations desired.
Experience with Data Migration and Data Syndication within the VA desired.
Ability to obtain a Government clearance.
