Job description

Smadex is a leading advertising technology company founded in Barcelona in 2010 and sold to American-based and stock-listed Entravision in 2018 (NYSE::EVC). We power campaigns for Apps, Games and Brands across Mobile and CTV using advanced machine learning and optimized creative strategies to deliver results. Smadex is one of the fastest growing DSPs and we are adding talent to fuel our ambitious plans for 2025 and beyond.

We are looking for a highly skilled, data-driven, and performance-oriented AdOps Manager to join our Ad Operations team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in setting up and managing mobile performance campaigns on the Smadex DSP, with a strong focus on testing, optimization, and delivering ROAS-driven results.

You’ll be expected to translate business goals into actionable campaign strategies, monitor daily performance, and continuously iterate to meet client objectives. A deep understanding of attribution logic, MMPs, and data-led decision-making is essential.

This role demands a sharp analytical mind combined with strategic thinking—someone who can turn complex data into actionable insights and effectively tackle both immediate and long-term campaign challenges.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Master the Programmatic Landscape: Dive deep into the programmatic ecosystem and attribution models to build, operate, analyze, and optimize high-performing user acquisition campaigns. You'll craft winning strategies that consistently achieve and overachieve our clients' most critical KPIs (CPM's, IPM's, CPI's, CPA's, ROAS, and more).
  • Drive Account Success: Take ownership of your accounts portfolio spanning various verticals and budgets. Your performance-focused approach will directly contribute to their growth and retention.
  • Unravel Key Insights: Transform vast, complex datasets, reflecting the behavior of millions of mobile users worldwide, into actionable strategic and operational decisions. Your analysis will be pivotal!
  • Direct Revenue Impact: Extract powerful insights from our extensive campaign portfolio to make data-driven decisions that visibly boost company revenue.
  • Innovate Through Experimentation: Champion A/B testing with the power of Smadex's proprietary DSP. You'll share compelling results and collaborate with the team to continuously elevate campaign performance.
  • Shape Our Future: Contribute to the development and enhancement of our product and internal processes, ensuring that data-driven insights are at the heart of every decision across all levels of the company.
  • Master communication: Your effective communication will be key to this impact and to maximize the result of cross-functional collaborations (Product, ML, Account Management, etc)

What are we looking for:

  • Demonstrated expertise in digital programmatic buying and mobile user acquisition campaigns.
  • Deep knowledge of attribution models, post-install event optimization, and MMPs (e.g., Appsflyer, Adjust, Kochava).
  • Strong experience managing performance campaigns focused on ROAS, retention, and LTV-based optimization.
  • Proven ability to test, analyze, and iterate quickly to improve campaign performance.
  • Analytical mindset with solid experience working with large data sets and performance metrics.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SQL/Python/R knowledge is a strong plus.
  • Excellent understanding of campaign measurement, event-based performance, and incrementality logic is highly valued.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequently shifting priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently troubleshoot campaign or tracking issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • High level of autonomy, accountability, and bias for action; you take ownership and move fast.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, BI, and Client Services teams.

Please note that we do not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates without a legal permit to work in Spain won't be considered.

What is in it for you:
  • Integrate a highly motivated and young team.
  • Great compensation package.
  • Top location at the heart of Barcelona in a penthouse office with a rooftop terrace, barbeque, and a fully stocked fridge.
  • Work from home: 2 days/week.
