Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate's degree, Nursing Diploma, or Bachelor's in Nursing plus five (5) years of clinical specialty experience.
Certification in the area of specialty in which the position resides or is obtainable within two years of hire.
Valid Registered Nursing License.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in nursing or health-related clinical field plus two (2) years of experience in health professions teaching, working with academic, clinical, and community partners.
RN license or other healthcare professional license.
Experience with older adult populations.
REDcap (Research Electronic Data Capture) experience.
Online learning management software experience.
Additional Information:
Responsibilities:
Serves as the liaison and curriculum specialist for all clinical-related activities (events, education, data collection, evaluation, reporting, etc.), working with the GWEP Clinical Director, outreach manager, education coordinator, and the GWEP PD/PI.
Research literature and other available sources to develop the content for and prepare syllabus materials for all required educational programs of clinical trainees.
Utilizes a Learning Management system to develop, maintain, and monitor required and needed content, progress, and completion of various trainings.
Develops and distributes educational materials/resources.
Participates in evaluation activities.
Assists with the educational requirements of GWEP-supported individuals in positions with stipend support.
Schedule training and education sessions; prepare all materials.
Assists with clinical site budget development and compliance, and reports on clinical activities and experiential learning data.
Assists clinical sites to obtain Age-Friendly status and to advance the certification when appropriate.
Travels to GWEP clinical sites/partners and potential sites (student sites) and partners to assist with educational programs and quality improvement activities (RQI cycles), community events, address any learner concerns, and activities related to advancing 4M’s recognition and certifications.
Meets with, establishes, and maintains consistent, frequent, and excellent communication with clinical and academic partners, including active clinical sites.
Collaborates with GWEP staff on new programs and partner development, and related program evaluation activities. They must be a resourceful, motivated, self-reliant individual who can efficiently work with minimal supervision.
Collaborates with the AGEC staff and its grant partners and works effectively with UAMS technical staff to ensure all educational programming, modules, etc., are available for remote learners and that data collection for all learners is assured.
Develops, maintains, and monitors the completion of training and educational materials.
Participates in evaluation activities, ensures training is available for all remote learners and partners.
Schedules training and education sessions.
Supports grant writing activities and reports related to all clinical programs, collaborations, and trainees.
Works with UAMS and other grant personnel to collect and enter data for all grant purposes and reports.
Meets with clinical and educational partners and schedules events and works with staff to obtain CE when appropriate.
Produces drafts for grant reports, attends meetings, contacts faculty, and assures compliance with guidelines for obtaining CE credit for multiple disciplines. May be expected to lecture on topics that meet the incumbent’s area of expertise in geriatrics/ gerontology and develop materials for dissemination when needed to fulfill grant obligations.
Collaborates with GWEP Staff on new program and partner development, and works with GWEP Staff on program evaluation activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
