This is a hybrid position. You’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office, so you should live within commuting distance. Our mission is to develop innovative tooling for customer relationship management, enabling GD to manage and enhance customer interactions effectively. We're looking for a software engineer who loves web technologies like JavaScript, React, Java, Go, and demonstrates horizontal scaling solutions such as MySQL, NodeJS, DynamoDB, and the latest browser frameworks like React.

We are seeking experienced Full Stack Engineers to join our Care Transformation team, one with a strong frontend orientation. You will play a crucial role in building our next-generation messaging platform and work with critical pieces of infrastructure, driving data platform insights for our care platform.

What you'll get to do...

• Design & build responsive, accessible UI components using React (or Vue.js) that deliver seamless experiences across browsers and devices
• Build performant, maintainable code with a strong focus on quality and test coverage
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, accounting for edge cases
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with urgency and care
• Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and mentor peers
• Collaborate with backend, product, and design teams on feature development and system integration

 Your experience should include...

• 4+ years of experience as a full‑stack engineer with a frontend focus, working with technologies such as JavaScript, React, NodeJS, Go, MySQL, DynamoDB, and optionally Vue.js
• Strong grasp of design principles, data structures, object‑oriented programming, and scalable architecture
• Hands‑on experience with unit testing, mocking frameworks, and asynchronous programming
• Proven experience in deploying applications to AWS and working with CI/CD pipelines
• Comfortable with agile development, git‑based workflows, and cross‑functional collaboration

You might also have...

• Experience integrating or building with AI tools like Claude, Copilot, or Cursor
• Deep understanding of frontend/UI development best practices (performance optimization, accessibility, responsive design)
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions or similar CI automation tools
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
