About the Team
 

Mobile for Development (M4D) is a dedicated global team within the GSMA, which brings together our mobile operator members, tech innovators, the development community and governments, to prove the power of mobile in underserved markets. We identify opportunities and deliver innovations with socio-economic impact that tackle the challenges of digital and financial inclusion, gender equality, climate and humanitarian action, agriculture and utility service provision. 


About the Role
 

The ClimateTech and Digital Utilities Marketing Manager will be the lead for delivery of all marketing activities and content across both programmes. This will include the planning, development and production of content and collateral, contribution and collaboration on internal and external events, alongside promotional activities across a range of channels and media. Success in this role will involve contributing to the achievement of programme KPIs but also demonstrating consistently creative approaches, expansive marketing activities that broaden audiences and raise engagement, alongside an ability to analyse information and make decisions based on data.

About You
 

•    You will have demonstrable marketing experience across all channels, including digital, social media, email, search engine marketing, events and printed or physical collateral
•    You will have notable experience planning and executing multi-month marketing campaigns utilising limited budgets to achieve specific KPIs, under strict deadlines
•    You will have an understanding of defining and categorising audience demographics, and characteristics, alongside the utilisation of targeting techniques
•    You will have demonstrable experience of developing and producing content across a range of formats, including but not limited to PDF documents, videos, brochures, PowerPoint presentations, promotional imagery and infographics
•    You will have notable experience in tracking, analysing and extracting data regarding marketing performance metrics, with an ability to interpret information and provide recommendations and conclusions, leading to specific outcomes
•    You will be comfortable working with, and have an understanding of, managing a variety of internal and external stakeholders, at differing levels with competing demands and requirements
•    You will possess the ability to interpret complex, technical information and be able to express it clearly, in a simplified and comprehensible manner
•    You will have experience in working on, managing and promoting events, including but not limited to, engaging with external speakers and event hosts, organising and liaising with multiple in-house teams and disseminating information to all relevant stakeholders
•    You may have an interest in the development sector, in advocacy and an understanding of mobile technology and digital innovation
